The Devils Lake area Audubon Christmas Bird Count is scheduled to take place Saturday December 21st, 2024. Volunteers cover a 15 mile radius in search of wintering birds. Surveys have been conducted in our area since the 1960s. Each year between 20 and 30 species are detected with 800-1200 individual birds recorded.

Participants will be grouped to cover the observation circle.
New birders are welcome and can be paired with skilled observers.
Dress warmly for outdoor weather.
Bring binoculars and bird ID guides (extras available).

Meet at 1 PM at Bully Brew Coffee in Devils Lake to share and compile observations.
